  Slighty disturbing off-note in the bouquet, otherwise nothing special, slightly bright and artificial tasting, with some picking up a caramel note that might suggest a concentrate-based wine

  Lots of fruit, almost like blackcurrant drink at times, light and bright and not too overheavy. Alright if you like that kind of thing but not my cup of tea.

• 2010 Azienda Agricola Lorenzon Merlot Borgo Dei Vassali Venezia Giulia IGT 84 Points

  Wine seemed somewhat unstable (perhaps due to have been carried around prior to tasting). Very young, bright and acidic and very unlike a Merlot. Signs of malolactic fermentation in the nose and first and then even some hints of effervescence in the palate. As the wine "calmed down" signs of something more rounded and complex with some tannic structure trying to break through, but never quite making it. Maybe if the wine had been given more time....
