  • 2005 San Pedro de Yacochuya Yacochuya 93 Points

    Argentina, Valles Calchaquíes, Salta, Cafayate

    Unbelievable expression. Freshly ground green and black milled peppercorns on the nose and in the mouth. Big, full bodied, some sweetness. Didn't show well with Boeuf Bourguignon but a very unique wine experience on it's own. Would love to see how it progresses over time.

  • 2007 Domaine de la Presidente Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Nonciature

    My least favorite wine of the night. Seemed rather singular and sweet. There was mention of lavender and pepper but I mistook this for the Cali.

  • 2005 Star Lane Vineyard Astral

    USA, California, Central Coast, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara

    This was pretty huge and had good purity with ample tannin. I confused this for the CdP, swore the nose was Rhone. Makes me excited for Napa trip next week. 90-91

  • 2007 Château d'Armailhac

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac

    Not as perfumed as bottle earlier this month. Good fruit core showing complexity of dark berries, definitely balanced well and showing early accessibility. Great with the Boeuf. 90
