Dark golden yellow colour. Yellow fruits and hazelnut in the nose. On the palate creamy, rich fruits and nuts. Long lingering. So much better than a oxidized (and orange colored) bottle last year. Drink now.
Medium red colour. Menure, dust and sweet red fruit tones. Full concentrated on the palate, clearly Shiraz. Youthful, excellent in combination with some hearty food.

Dark red colour. Jammy tones in the very rich and thick nose. Very concentrated and elegant on the palate. Powerhouse of spices and dark red fruits with prunes, berries and vanilla. Long lingering tannins. Very special wine but maybe not really what I look for in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Maybe needs (lot) more time to mature?
Black in colour. Immensely thick rich nose with dark over-ripe fruits as berries and kirsch cherries. Milky tones as well. Soft and velvety, mouth covering and lingering on for minutes. Impressive.

Between the Vieille Julienne 2000 Generique and Reserve. Garrigues and ripe fruit tones in the nose. Thick and silky with more fruit tones but less tannins than the Reserve. Easier to appreciate, drinks well now.

Between the Vieille Julienne 2000 Generique and Vieilles Vignes. Dark ruby colour. Well delineated modern style Chateauneuf. Young and Jammy with deep concentration and a basket full of black/ red fruits tones as kirsch, blueberry and raspberry. Very powerful with soft sweet tannins. Drinks well now but better wait another 5 years.

Garnet red colour, orange on the rim. Somewhat disappointing bottle, didn't live up to the expectations. Raisins and vanilla tones in the nose. Mature and well layered, mainly secondary gamey tones.
