really nice, light er styled champagne. citrus peel, wild strawberry, and yeast. a little complexity, while also quite enjoyable to drink. still youthful and should continue to develop in bottle.
I have never been the biggest fan of the Dagueneau wines I have had in the past -- this reinforced that (my first Silex). Nice lychee notes dominate the nose. Some minerality also on the nose. The palate is muted and does not fulfill the promise of the aromatic nose. Finish shows citrus and acid. This might age -- I dont have enough experience with these wines to know.

Others at the table enjoyed this more than me. It was not a fruit bomb, but it was fairly simple red fruit and a little bit of black pepper underpinning. I'm surprised by the price point on this, but it is an 07 CDP. Medium + finish is nice. This might go somewhere, but I doubt it.
This may have been my WOTN. Really lovely. Developed botrytis flavors, but still extraordinarily youthful. Apricot, honey. Lovely nasal quality that I think of when I think Botrytis. This is in a phenomenal place and should stay amazing for a long time. I am in no rush to pop my remaining bottle. Long finish.

really lovely, but overwhelmed by the food (bone marrow) -- not a classic pairing, you might say -- we basically had most wines matched up and convinced ourselves this might work (nope!). Still, the class of this wine showed through. Nice mulled apple with white spice notes. med (+) finish.
