Introduction
Relaxing wine dinner with Daniela and friends Andy and Jessica Hamari. Excellent wine - Sojourn and Domenico Clerico. And the pizza was very very good.
2009 Sojourn Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Vineyard 93 Points
USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
Ruby color, with young but deep black cherry fruit notes, some pomegranate, dust, and earth. Also some subtle baking spices. Nice deep complexity on the nose. Medium plus to full body, full alcohol, medium plus tannin and a grand size to hold the tight, young and wrapped subtle notes. It is top notch, and the nose suggests flavors of top notch burgundy. Excellent.

2005 Domenico Clerico Barolo Pajana 94 Points

Powerful wine. Deep cherry notes, some tar, and a rose soapiness. Also balsamic notes on nose and palate. Plenty influence of the barriques as well. The nose is complex, and the body is full, with full natural tannins, and is seamless and balanced. Long finish. Structured and dense barolo that is also approachable.
