Good fruit to start with good floral aromatics. Lemon and orange on palate, showing well today, most likely best to drink in the next few years. As Bobbby Kacher explained tonight over dinner, not necessarily regarding this wine, or wine at all, it's always hard to find a good Pucelles.

Bright fruit on nose and palate with really good minerality. Lots of energy for the vintage. Hold for a few years.

2006 Domaine Marc Morey & Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets

For me, this was a step up from Morey's C-M Virondot in next glass, even if a bit riper. Aromas of ripe peach with some oak spice. Same fruit profile on palate with lots of minerality. Very good and persistent form start to finish, give this another 3-6 years to better integrate.

Ripe dark fruit with some hardy and structured tannins. This will need plenty of time. A rare exception where I prefer the 2007 vintage of a wine vs. its 2006 counterpart. Not clear where/when this will emerge into something truly exciting.

Same big fruit and structure as the Damodes 2006 in the next glass glass, but more/better spice and textures. In this case, I prefer the 2006 Pruliers vs. its 2007 counterpart tasted earlier this evening.

Mostly black fruit on nose, then red and black fruit on palate with nice tannins and power. Far superior both today and for long-term vs. its 2007 counterpart tasted earlier this evening.

Incredibly impressive in many ways. Floral nose with great black fruit and really wonderful spice. Big black fruit on the approach and middle with wonderful licorice and minerality. Big pwer comes through on the imporessive finish. A 2006 to hold for a decade+.

Dense black fruit and spice on nose and palate. Less power, spice or intensity than the Dugat 2006 Charmes also just tasted. Perhaps this will just need more time?

At a good place today, nicely balancing primary with (slightly more prominent) earthy characteristics. Drinking well today. I never would have guessed 1994 if tasted blind.

Big step up. Also red fruit with some earthy spice bu more nuance and clearly more dense. Same red fruit on palate, quite forward but with a good mid-palate, followed by good minerality, acidity and fine tannins. Good finish. Good value wine.

Black fruit with some good spice and earthy elements coming through already. Good spice and black cherry, blackberry on palate. Good tannins and acidity, reasonably well balanced for the vintage. In most vintages I find this cuvee at its peak after 10-12 years, but I expect I will want to drink the 2007 much younger.
