The Finca Sandoval Manchuela is a deep ruby wine with a medium body. Aromas of earth, violets and hints of cherries lead to a relatively simple palate of cherries. Soft and round in the mouth, with the tannins fading into the background, the medium finish has cherries and oak. Really nice depth of fruit and pleasing texture lift this wine.
The Milton Park Barossa Shiraz is a ruby wine with medium legs. The nose is predominantly earth and leather. Lots of fruit in the mouth with black cherry and mulberry. Smooth textured, with fine tannins and high alcohol. The black cherry finish has better than medium length.
The Vinoklet La Dolce Vita is light bodied with a crimson hue and an orange rim. The bouquet on this wine is stunning, reminiscent of a nice Nero d'Avola, with bold scents of Easter Lily, jasmine and strawberry. Sweet in the mouth with tastes of strawberry, violet and very floral. No tannins noticeable, low to medium alcohol and overall a very neutral texture. The finish is short, sweet and strawberry. Buy this wine for the nose, if nothing else.
The garnet hued Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy has a medium plus body. The wine opens with a restrained nose of black cherry. Soft, silky and plush in the mouth with viscous tastes of blackberry and black cherry. High alcohol is no surprise here. The medium-long finish has blackberry, black cherry, spicebox and black pepper. Over the top, and wonderful for those who like the style.
The Colome Malbec Estate is a violet wine with a medium body. The nose has nice complexity with blackberry, violets and a little cedar. Soft and smooth, with tastes of blackberry, oak and leather. More blackberry and cedar on the finish.
The Chateau Ross Z has an amber-brown hue with a medium plus body. The nose features raisins and honey, with tastes of raisins and honey. Smooth texture leads to more of the same on the medium long finish. Very straightforward and monolithic.
