    What a beautiful aromas here! Highly focus, expressive and complex, this continue to evolve in the glass. Layers of citrus, grapefruits, star fruits soar from the glass elegantly along with Sea shell, grass, mineral and little touch of honey and lily, very refreshing and perfume. The crisp entry is a bit high with acidity, but refreshing. After sit in the glass for about 30mins, the acid has mellow down with stunning pure, sweet white fruits surface that hit the perfect balance point: mouth watering and quite creamy on the mid palate with good depth and structured that has beautiful integration, brightness and transparency. This polished, enticing juice also possess good flavors complexity with mild spices, green apple, citrus that flow to the very long, silky mineral finish. Mouthful with excellent focus and precision, I wanted more! 92-94+

    While this is not as profound as the Blanc, this is actually drinking well and delicious. Soft aromas of tobacco, cigar, blackcurrant, blueberry and sandalwood, quite complex and expressive already. This possess very good freshness and soft in texture, good sweetness at the mid palate with friendly depth and rounded palate that is quite fine. The medium finish is quite powdery though.

  • 2007 Château Petit Village 86 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol

    76ca merlot, 16% Cab Franc, 8% Cab.
    I pretty like the aromas of this: smoke, incense, blackberry and some dark flower. Structured, quite powerful with lots of currant and blackberry fruits, dark chocolate laced over the underlying power with mineral freshness that go through to the slightly grippy, very firm tannin to the wonderful finish. Good. 86-87+

  • 2007 Château Brane-Cantenac 88 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux

    Wow, very expressive and perfume on the nose with sweet blackberry, red cherry intermixed with tobacco, perfume floral scents, creme de Cassis, mineral and with touch of savory tone that added better complexity to it. Elegance and feminine, this beautiful juicy is very tasty with its soft refreshing mineral and sweet currant richness that firmly supported by the fine silky tannin with really seamless, polished mouth feel. The medium length finish is very fine with dark chocolate aftertaste. I like this wine. 88-89+

  • 2007 Château Figeac 89 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

    This is a really good wine and seductive too! Intense, complex aromas of floral, tobacco, licorice, mint, capsicum, savoury meatiness and blackcurrant, all merged together harmoniously. So rich and powerful on the palate with good purity and finesse. Very sweet entry that make up by concentrated blackcurrant and blueberry fruits with good mid palate depth and spiciness that wrapped on a silky elegance package, with strong fresh mineral, capsicum, tobacco and sweet spicy aftertaste, very long. This has all the element for the mid term and will break into the outstanding easily in another 3-5yrs. 89-91

  • 2007 Château Montrose 90 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Saint-Estèphe

    After some elegance touch from Figeac, we drift to the muscular, powerful Montrose. The aromas is powerful and tight, refuse to show but you know there is something going on underneath. After some vigorous swirling, soil, pencil shaving, cigar box with lots of sweet dark fruits. Very sweet entry with incredible freshness that accompany by mouth coating intensity. I really like the flavors complexity here: bitter sweet cocoa, vanilla, spices, wonderful concentration of sweet dark fruits and a bit of earth and soil. The firm but ripe tannin and acid formed the solid structured for the mid-long term. The long, spicy infused finish with great tannin bite with power and excellent drive. I really like this. 90-92+

  • 2007 Château Léoville Barton 89 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Saint-Julien

    The beautiful, perfume nose is very expressive, though a bit softer than the Montrose, this is actually more attractive now: tobacco, violet with the essence of blackberry and blackcurrant. Surprisingly soft on the palate and tannin is well integrated for the all time structured Barton, lots of concentration here with great balance that buffer off the medium level of fine tannin and acid backbone. While not as complex as the Montrose, this firmly made Barton is actually drinking better now with fresh mineral, bitter chocolate at the medium length finish that seem a bit clipped initially but become better and gaining more weight in the glass. 89-91

  • 2007 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron 91 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac

    This is huge! But wonderfully balance, delineated and show great sense of finesse already. Complex on both nose and palate. Complex, powerful, very deep aromas of savory meatiness, graphite, smoke, ink, creme de cassis with plum and violet. The entry is truly powerful yet with incredible precision and layer with silky tannin, sweet acid and huge concentration of sweet currant fruits and soft mineral to form the super depth and harmonious environment for the long term. Finished long, juicy and seductive with the slightly sweet aftertaste. This is a treat! 91-92+

  • 2007 Château Suduiraut

    France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes

    Sweet almond and seductive peaches dominating the aromatic profile together with raisin, mineral, dried tea leaves, mango, floral and orange marmalade, very very complex! I can sniff this all day! Viscous, silky, dense, incredibly rich but with good acid lift that there is touch of lightness to this highly concentrated juice. Lots of Bortrytis spiciness with long finish that seems a bit dry and powdery that is quite distracting, some of my friends got this but some didn't. Stemware or bottle variation? Gotta try this again.
