Very lively bouquet with some vegetal earthiness and some saliney seaweedy notes. Then quite bright fruit on the palate with crisp, clean mouth feel. No massive complexity on the palate but just a very nice wine to drink.
(CF/CS blend / Bottle tasted apparently from 2008 vintage though no vintage stated on label as it is a Vin De France)
Cloudy, unfiltered aspect. Not as forward on the nose as I remembered when tasted at the producer. Some herbaceous notes, and perhaps some marzipan... Quite plush and velvety mouth feel and needs time to open up with some noticeable signs of volatility, though not in a bad way. With time, acidity started to show through much stronger with a greenish twist in the finish.
Smokiness and bacon on the nose again, with good fruit on the palate and structured acidity and tannins on the finish. One of the bottles tasted from this batch did seem to have a problem though showing up bitter and very little fruit and much flatter than the other good bottles so perhaps corked/cooked in some way.
