Served blind. Golden colour, oak fermented which is instantly recognisable, which adds a softness, spices and lavender touch. A bit too much in my taste, however the fruit is present and excellent.
From double-magnum. Darkred/brownish in the core with an orange core. Good concentration on the nose of olives and saltiness. Initially a bit reminiscent of an old very concentrated Rioja. Dark fruit and completely smooth fruit. Tobacco.
Very confusing. Darkbrown sherry-like colour. Madeirarised and nutty and very sweet on the nose. High acidity, nutty flavours, it really does pretend to be a sweet wine. Hard to believe this started out as a tannic red.
From Magnum. Dark red almost black in the middle. Initially closed down. Still has some tannins left. Very powerful, it has it all fruit and acidity to go. Will surely develop further for another 5-10 years.
Red core and brick on the edges. Intriguing notes of leather. Still some tannins left, excellent fruit and acidity. Will keep well another 10-15 years.
