Wine tasting. Nose shows a fair amount of spice but rather lean cherry aromas. Palate shows a bit more concentration but is very muted, mostly hidden behind a fair amount of tannin and acidity. This will need another decade+.

Wine tasting. Lots of red fruit with multiple layers of flavors of both wonderful fruit and spice. Tannins stand out a bit today, I'd give this until 2008 before really even trying again, but it should be wonderful for decades going forward.

Wine tasting. Exceptional aromas of forest floor, reduced mushrooms, cooked meat and remnants of red fruit. First taste beautifully showcases mushroom and spice. Wine gets a bit less interesting towards its moderate finish with moderate finish.
Wine tasting. Still showing some black fruit along with earthy aromas, flavors and textures. Very clean and precise wine. Well balanced, well structured.
Wine tasting. Slightly musty to start, this should have been opened earlier and given more air. Concentrated black fruit emerged with some time, aeration and coaxing. Smoky black currant and black cherry flavors with big structural support. Long finish.
Wine tasting. Black cherry, cedar, pine forest and spice on nose. Concentrated dark fruit on palate, perhaps a bit less open than another bottle at a tasting a few months back, but similar in overall profile. Dense, spicy finish.
Wine tasting. Simple black fruit aromas with coffee, mocha support. Open and accessible but fruit comes across with pale black cherry flavors on palate, ending in a short and simple finish.
Wine tasting. Concentrated black fruit and liqueur on nose. Same fruit profile on palate, just more restrained than I expected or the aromas implied. Finish seemed to show more dried black fruit. Others with more experience thought this a slightly imperfect bottle.
