Nice Bordeaux blend. Dark ruby-purple color. Expressive nose helped by the Cab Franc, herbal, dark red fruit, cassis, milk chocolate. Extremely smooth palate, maybe too polished, juicy red berry, creamy vanilla, not much as far as secondary character or complexity, just ripe, full-bodied, and well made.
Fill at base of neck. Surprisingly light straw-yellow. Nose of lemons, heavy spearmint, faint caramel/butter that gradually became more apparent with air. Lemon palate, medium-bodied, bitter marmalade fruit. Quite a reserved Sauternes.
