Magical combination of frangrance, power and finesse. Excellent 1989 richness wrapped in a lace-like texture, violets, strawberries and cream, incredibly beautiful, supremely stylish. Brings a broad smile to your face. Sublime.

1988 Château La Conseillante 95 Points

If the Margaux 1989 is a supremely stylish lady, this La Conseillante is a deliciously tarty Merlot and a high-class one at that. Delicious rich fruit, creamy with some strawberries and cherries, round but elegant, dressed in the finest silk, a little reserved (it's a 1988 after all) and the concomitant structure provides lovely balance. Outstanding.
