    CHRISTINE's WINE - LITERALLY!!! The best AMERICAN CHARDONNAY of the YEAR. Comparable to a great Batard or Chevalier Montrachet, Vibrant lemon notes with great acidity and gravitas. The acidity indicates it should evolve well. I am purchasing a case and will have at least one a year to follow its evolution. At $45 it's a STEAL!

  • 2007 Sonoma Coast Vineyards Pinot Noir Freestone View Block Balisteri Family Vineyard 93 Points

    This time double decanted and rebottled after 1/2 hr. I killed it last time w 3hr decant. Again a rich red berry Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir which was preferred to the 07 Hanzell 1953 Vineyard Pinot. Good body, and extended finish.

    Erica's wine(A Birthday Gift from a thoughtful friend) Unfortunately not decanted until arrival at The River Oyster Bar. I asked Erica and Spring to being it when I saw the sparse CT notes, but observed the PRICE TAG- $130-140!
    I was curious to experience it. It finally opened after 2 hours and showed well, but surprisingly we preferred the 07 SCV Ballesteri Pinot. After the decant it revealed complex delicate Burgundian aromatics and flavors. More nuanced than the Ballesteri. Very good, but LOUSY QPR!
