France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Maranges 1er Cru
Decanted for 30 mins. This was a rather pale violet red. The nose was floral with red cherry and rasberry, quite enjoyable. The palate was rather acidic, with little tannin, quite a bit of cranberry, a very lightweight wine. Quite ok, but for ca 20 euros I wouldn't grab it.
Decanted for 30 mins. A very pale orangeish red. The nose was quite pungent with physallis and a bit of tar, a bit off putting for me. The palate had a bit of a candy like aspect to it, almost a banana taste, but still with lots of acidity, maybe even a bit of rhubarb. A very lightweight wine, not bad, but not quite to my taste.
