Ripe, fruit forward, a bit jammy. Touch of mintiness. Med acid, tannin. Full body. Very ripe fruits & a touch of heat. Blended with Merlot & Petit Verdot.
Boozy! Deep, black fruits, coffee. Alchohol is too much. Definitely dissappointed post-reveal for this one. Med acid/Tannin, fleshy. 55 Cab Sauv/40 Merlot/5 Petit Verdot.
One of the top wines for the night. Dark juicy berries, herbs. Could use some age to loosen up a bit. Lots of acidity, med tannin, med-full body, nice finish with bit of herbal character. Carmenere blend.
The 'ringer' of the night, if you will. And my first Israeli wine. Licorice, cherry, a little plastic note. Med acid/tannin/body. Not much to the finish, but an intriguing wine, for its breaking from the same-ness of the night's Cabernets.
My favoruite of our Cabernet night. Cassis, cedar, chocolate, raspberry. Medium acidity, lots of tannic structure. This can use several years in the cellar to really shine. Long, juicy, ripe. Bit of Cab Franc & Merlot in the blend.

2007 Torres Cabernet Sauvignon (Black Label) Mas La Plana
Spain, Catalunya, Penedès
Nice complexity. Black & blue fruit, violets, chocolate, vanilla. American oak. Ample acidity, med tanbnins, med body, nice lingering finish.
