Introduction

A wine-pages lunch organised by Jeremy Carne where the brief was to bring a good Cote de Nuits red. We ended up with eight wines all quite close on the broad style spectrum (serious, dry, earthy, sharp and comlex) close in quality too, and yet all quite distinct. A delightful do.

Flight 2 - With cep and potato soup with cheese and ham croûte (3 Notes)

Flight 3 - With roast partridge with parsnip purée, pearl barley, foie gras and madeira (3 Notes)

Flight 4 - With loin and haché of venison with braised red cabbage, onion purée and red wine jus (3 Notes)

Flight 5 - With a plate of British blue cheeses (1 Note)
