Barrel sample tasted at winery. Good start with aromas of lush black fruit and plenty of spice, both of which follow through well on the palate. Lots of tannins and oak dominate the finish today. For me, 89-91 point range.
Tasting at winery. Dense black fruit aromas with good floral and spice contributions. Black currant and black cherry show good concentration, power and density. Very good finish. Hold to 2007 or later.
Tasting at winery. Black cherry on nose with cedar hints. Same black cherr yon palate with some plum hints and background spice along with sweet tannins. Moderate length and intensity. Good balance. Give another year or two in cellar.
