Introduction
Three of us gathered for a last minute sushi wine lunch. Everyone brought a bottle, and we all enjoyed some awesome sushi.

Light gold color. Drank 2 glasses over 1 hour. Nose is yeasty, apple, hints of pear, minerals. Palate is tangy, citrus, pear, yeast. Has decent weight, nice finish.

2010 Alfred Merkelbach Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Kabinett 88 Points
Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
Light gold color. Nose shows lots citrus, dominated by grapefruit, with orange peel, quite fruity, no fusil. The palate is rather sweet for a kabinett, I found it a touch flabby, maybe just its youth. Mostly grapefruit palate. Nice QPR.

2006 Domaine Huet Vouvray Demi-Sec Le Mont 91 Points

Medium gold color. Popped and aerated into glasses. Drank 2 glasses over 2 hours+. Nose shows melon, white flowers, honey, apricots,. The palate is dense, lightly sweet, nice cut, viscous on the mouth, melon, citrus, lots of minerals, spice, medium plus finish.

2007 Domaine Serene Pinot Noir Evenstad Reserve 92 Points
USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Dark red color. Popped and aerated into glasses. Drank 2 glasses over 3 hours. Really nice perfume of earth, mushroom, vanilla, strawberry, raspberry. The palate has great finesse, very smooth, good purity, strawberry, raspberry, some spice, and a hint of coffee on the end, long finish. Drinking beautifully. My WOTN.
