  • 1983 Château Mouton Rothschild 92 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac

    dark red-brown with amber rim
    high quality secondary & tertiary aroma of ripe fruits, leather, wet-earth & more - very enjoyable to sniff for long minutes
    while a bit over the peak, still quite enjoyable, full body, ample tannins, good acidity level, good harmony, hints of once-a-greater wine. Nice ending.

  • 1995 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron 88 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac

    dark red-purple with a bit of amber rim
    subtle secondary & tertiary aromas of ripe fruits & wet-earth
    full body, ripe fruits, med harmony, good acidity level, still quite tannic and feels as a younger wine than actually is, but overall less than expected from this wine.

    dark red-purple with a bit of amber rim
    rich deep & seductive secondary & tertiary aromas that last for very long
    excellent balance & harmony, rich savory flavors, still feels quite young and can age for another decade or so. Very long aftertaste. Highly recommended.

    dark red-purple
    good rich fruity secondary & tertiary aromas
    full body, high level of tannins of a relatively young wine, good & balanced acidity, very good harmony, rich flavors and lasting aftertaste. Can age for further 15 years or so.

Closing

a social pleasant evening. very good wines especially the last two reds, along with many tasty dishes at low cost from the bar.
