Introduction

A nice gathering with boss and colleagues. Easy, relax, fun conversation, good food and wines. A great night. Worth to mention that the white asparagus is extremely delicious (in season). Blue cheese paired with fresh honey comb is.... simply stunning.

    PnP. This light golden juice offers refreshing, soft aromas of lemon, pear, crushed rock and mild herbs. Delicate and friendly on the palate with excellent drive. Soft mineral waving around the mouth along with light sweetess from the yellow fruits and leads to the medium length finished with lovely freshness and grip. Not really complex but everything is well in place and drinking very nicely.

  • 2007 Château Gazin Pomerol 88 Points

    PnP. This beautifully craft Gazin is a success of the vintage. Not overly extracted, it offers excellent purity of sweet dark fruits and mineral along with savory plum, leather, cigar box and just a hint of roasted herbs with mineral at the background. I especially like the freshness and subtle yet complex flavors on the palate, though there was herbaceous note but well control. Silky tannin and just sufficient amount of wood for the structure and balance. Finished with some wood tannin bite but it wasn't distract the overall drinking pleasure but better length instead. This is enjoyable now but will definitely get better in 3-5yrs time. 88-90

  • 2006 Thibault Liger-Belair Clos Vougeot 90 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru

    PnP. Still a bit tight but by no mean not approchable. It was showing lovely fruits concentration and accessibility instead. The aromas is kinda shy but have good focus and precision, sweet and sour red cherry, iron and mineral interwoven with hint of spiciness. Medium - full bodied, there was this austerity from a youthful Clos Vougeot but quite subtle, with good red and dark fruits concentration and richness to buffer. Tannin is firm, medium level which started to integrate well already. Medium to long finished with good persistence and power. A well made Clos Vougeot that deserves min 3yrs to develope more in the bottle. 90-91+
