Pretty, floral nose. Light to medium bodied with medium+ acidity. Watermelon, strawberry, nice cut. I think I like this better than the '10. Morgan said the Mourvedre was picked earlier this vintage and there's a little bit of Grenache (9%) in there as well for the first time.
Gorgeous, floral, citrusy nose. Medium bodied with low to medium acidity. Spicy, gingery palate, with some orange zest and blossom. Very nice but not quite as good as I remember the '10 being. A bit less fruit and acid on the palate. Morgan says this usually needs a few months in the bottle to lose what he called a hefeweizen character (might be what I'm calling spicy), which is why he's waiting to release it until the Fall.

Raised in 13% new acacia wood and the remaining a mix of stainless, used oak and large oak foudres. (Pretty sure this is what Morgan said yesterday although the newsletter doesn't mention stainless.)
Big, ripe blackberry nose with some white pepper. Pretty. Medium to full bodied with medium+ acidity. Floral palate, violets, tart black plums. Nice weight and density but also a spine of acidity. The depth and light tannins suggest this will improve with some cellar time. Picked early, 2% Viognier, 40% whole cluster.
Very cloudy, bottle got stirred up from pouring. Big, pretty nose of strawberry and blackberry. Medium to full bodied with medium acidity. Chewy blackberry and black plum, some chalkiness. Hard to judge the palate but the nose is lovely.
