Looks like a Riesling with a slight greenish hue. Saline notes on the nose. Surprisingly rather big and concentrated on the palate. No lack of minerality here and does remind me of a Chablis. Interesting but not particularly distinctive. Needs food.
Tastes pretty much like a Sauternes, especially from the lower acidity profile. Oily, viscous texture. Moderate finish. Not particularly distinctive but fairly priced.
Hints of savouriness behind the luscious ripe fruits which totally engulfs the palate. Great persistence and completely enjoyable without being cloying. Very good for what it is.
Dark bronze and very showy on the nose. Much more lively acidity compared to the 2000. The racy acidity imparts a freshness which masks any signs of excess sweetness. Finish was stunningly long and satisfying. Would pair well with some fruit-based desserts. Excellent and quantitatively equal to the 2000 depending on which style you prefer.
Light bronze. Hints of tea on the nose and of course plenty of dried apricots on the palate. Plush is what comes to mind as I slowly sip this nectar. Richer than the 1999 (probably a function of less acidity) but not cloying at all. A luxurious wine which is a dessert in itself. Excellent.
Brownish. The nose was totally intoxicating with a cornucopia of aromas from dried fruits to spice to honey (and burnt sugar). Not as rich as I'd expected but still very viscous (and sweet). As with the greatest sweet wines, the finish was extremely long. Not the most 'wow' sweet wine I've had but good enough to be outstanding.
