Meaty mineral with some Asian spices nose. Medium full bodied rich, somewhat savory but still feminine. Interesting. Christophe used some interesting descriptors that seem to fit: "ash tray," "teriyaki sauce," and he described the wine as "a little naughty."
Pretty much opaque dark garnet in the glass. Rather savory nose of meat, minerals, and Northern Rhone-like funk. Similar to the 2008, but softer and more feminine.
Mostly opaque dark garnet in the glass. Sweet herbal nose with pretty Asian spices and meat. The most compelling nose of the three vintages in my opinion. Medium full bodied with complex dark, somewhat savory fruit and spices.
