2010 Les Calcineres Blanc—Blend of peach/apricot on the nose. On the palate the richness from the Chardonnay is evident. Very bright acidity. Maybe a little hot. Sturdy with very long finish.
France, Languedoc Roussillon, Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon Villages
2009 Les Calcineres Rouge—Shale/schist terroir is totally obvious. Tar, dark berry, plum. Very tight right now. Some dark cherry on finish. Burly with dry tannins. Overwhelming garrigue right now which is really cool with so much forward fruit.
France, Languedoc Roussillon, Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon Villages
2008 Côtes-du-Roussillon Vielle Vignes Rouge—Nose is all dark cherry, wet stone. Lots of red fruits on the palate. The mid-palate tannins are very apparent but bright. Surprisingly soft finish. Velvety

2008 Muntada—Holy crap. Very profound and amazingly complex. Tar, wild berry, plum with LOTS of garrigue. Slate/schist minerality. Finish shows very little decay for several minutes.
