Nice floral nose. In the mouth: Nothing there, there. None of the masculine assertiveness or depth of flavor expected with Chateauneuf. Damaged bottle? No sign of cork damage. But something went wrong here.
Stag's leap cab all the way; Big nose, assertive in front, nuanced towards the back, finishes well, lingers for days. This the kind of wine I want on a cold night in August in San Francisco when I might go up the hill to Rue St. Jacques for a nice pot of cassoulet.

Huge in the nose, huge in the mouth. Really rather overwhelming stuff. Not sure what I'd pair this with; probably best on its own. Didn't have a chance to explore flavors or nuances with this coming at the end of a long night. For me, even top notch Aussie Shiraz is wasted; like Joan Miro, I can appreciate the art and the quality, it's just not to my taste. But this is a very well made wine.
