The early May tasting in Bordeaux of 2009's and and extra, older vintage from the member châteaux of the UGCB.

Flight 1 - POMEROL (12 Notes)

    France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol

    85M, 12CS, 3CF.
    Black colour.
    Enormous fruit power, tobacco minerality on the nose. Very soft and round taste. Outstanding! Wait 7-8 years but delicious alreadu now!

    Excellent fruit, tobacco, corinths.
    Very good storing ptential.

  • 2006 Château Clinet 95 Points

    Very dark, with almost darkbrown edges.
    The power of the fruit is overwhelming. More developed than the 2009 but very young still. Wait 4-5 years.

    From magnum.
    Edge starting to turn slightly brick.
    Tobacco, barnayard, very refined, dark and sweet fruit. Nice "saltiness" minerality.

    Very soft on the palate, medium+ concentration, very good acidity and very good storage potential.

    Rather restrained on the nose and palate, not showing very much now although the fruit concentration is great!

    Very dark colour.
    Very nice on the nose with a hint of greenness. Almost enjoyable now but I would prefer that some of the tannins are mellowed out ina 2-3 years!
