  From barrel. Ripe, concentrated darker red cherry and plum on the nose with delicate floral notes as well. Great intensity of fruit on the palate too with great balance. Delicious.

  From barrel. Dark red cherry and plum aromas with a huge floral component. The same fruit on the structured palate. Great concentration and purity of fruit. Great balance and a lengthy finish.

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru

  From barrel. Darker aromatic profile than the Volnay just poured. A mix of dark red and black berry and plum. Lovely floral tones. Great concentration of fruit on the palate. Muscular, gripping wine. Lengthy finish.

  From Barrel. Very pretty mix of darker berry and cherry with great floral and spice. Densely packed fruit on the palate and showing great purity. Fine tannins, long finish. Wonderful acidity. Great wine.

  From bottle. Fresh, juicy yellow citrus fruit and peach on the nose and palate with nice intensity for the level. Vibrant acidity all throughout and a good finish.

  From bottle. Yellow grapefruit aromatics and flavors. Very pure and clean. Has some nice stuffing. Refreshing acidity on the finish.

  From bottle. Riper aromatically than the other cuvees and richer on the palate as well. A great mix of juicy lemon and lime peel intermixed with white floral. Very fresh, juicy fruit. Great intensity. Very nice wine.

  France, Burgundy, Mâconnais, Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine

  From bottle. Very fragrant floral and white orchard fruit with touches of white grapefruit. Riper styling on the palate than the regular cuvee, but still with great intensity and concentration of fruit. Great minerality. Vibrant acidiy on the finish. Refreshing.

  From bottle. Super aromatic. Ripe peaches and white floral on the nose. Definitely the most ripe aromatically. Rich and ripe on the palate too. Nice depth of fruit with good acidity on the finish.

  From barrel. Ripe and concentrated yellow citrus and tropical fruit on the nose and palate. Great richness of fruit on the palate. Nice finish with a burst of acid on the finish. Delicious.

  From barrel. Some similar characteristics to the regular Meursault, but with quite a bit more concentration and depth. Tart lemon custard with lime notes dominate the nose and palate. Vibrant acidity. Lengthy finish with mineral backbone.

  From barrel. Ripe, concentrated orchard fruits. Pretty mineral and floral tones. Rich, powerful fruit on the palate with great acidity. Medium body and length with a mineral backbone.

  Racked into tank yesterday. Riper aromatically than the other wines so far. Pretty floral tones. Creamy mixture of lemon and lime on the rich/round palate. As with all the other wines, great depth and concentration. Long finish. Outstanding.

  From tank. Powerful, concentrated nose of juicy lemon and lime and crushed stones. Same flavors and intensity come through on the palate too. Fantastic acidity. The finish goes on and on. Wonderfully intense.

  From Tank. As amazing as the Genevrieres just was, this was a noticable step up. Very intense aromatically. Juicy lemon and lime, crisp asian pear and crushed stones. Amazing concentration and depth of fruit on the palate. A long, mineral driven, gripping finish. Outstanding acidity

  From barrel. (Four barrels produced this year) Very intense aromatically and on the palate. An amazing mix of citrus, mineral and white flowers. Ripe, yet well structured on the palate. Mineral backbone. Amazing concentration with a great burst of acidity on the long gripping finish

  From bottle. Powerful and aromatic citrus on the nose with a lovely mineral and floral mix too. Rich texture on the palate with some good structure buried underneath. Nice acidity and a long finish. Delicious and approachable.

  From bottle. Mineral dominated aromatics with juicy lemon and some floral. A lot of tension. Amazingly concentrated and powerful. Juicy fruit on the palate too with a huge mineral backbone. Vibrant acidity all throughout. Great texture with a very long, palate staining finish. Outstanding wine.

• 2007 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault Clos de la Barre

  From bottle. Great mix of yellow fruit, mineral, and white floral on the nose. Palate was a bit richer than I would normally expect for the vintage. Still quite delicious though with some juicy lemon and showing the 2007 acidity. Fine texture and a long, lingering finish.
