Seven of us gathered to check out the Bachelor Farmer. We did our own personal tasting menu pairing with our wines, and it turned out quite well. Service was fabulous and the food was pretty good.
2009 Saint Cosme Condrieu 92 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Condrieu
Medium gold color. Pop and pour, drank 2 glasses over 1 hour. Really inviting nose of apricots, pear, honey butter, crisp minerals, and a little lychee. The palate is viscous and full bodied, great mouth feel, rich, nice acid, apricot, pineapple, pear, lychee, slightly smoky, a bit of oak, minerals, nice finish. Very tasty.

2009 Brewer-Clifton Chardonnay Sweeney Canyon 93 Points

Medium yellow color. Pop and pour, drank 2 glasses over 1 hour plus. Nose is exuberent, citrus, a bit of burnt rubber, striking minerals, apple, a little toasted oak, and a bit musty. The palate is full bodied, great minerality, nice fruit with citrus, apple, nice acids. Long finish.

1995 Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga Chianti Classico Riserva 92 Points

Medium red color. Pop and pour, drank 2 glasses over 1 hour. Nose shows earth, leather, cherry, some berries, florals. The palate is medium bodied, quite soft and elegant, cherry, berry, mature, medium plus finish. This is drinking beautifully now.

2000 Warre Porto Late Bottled Vintage 91 Points
Portugal, Douro, Porto
Dark red color. Slow-O several hours. Nose of blackberry syrup, caramel, raisins. The palate is dense, berries, raisin, chocolate, very smooth, integrated. Ready to go.
