Lovely colour, mature but very lively; wonderful bouquet that opens up beautifully in the glass, lovely core of red and black cherry fruit, tobacco and leather, iron and earth, spices, chocolate, deep and rich; velvety and rich on the palate, beautifully extracted, warm vintage but excellent structure, wonderful plummy flavours; excellent finish, rich, earthy, long. Fabulous NSG. Drink now - 2020+.
Half bottle. Very lively, young apprearance; more than a touch of VA on the nose, fabulous core of sweet black cherries, chocolate and spices, hint of nuts; fleshy, velvety, well-extracted. Still a young VP at 30 years of age, energetic, elegant and with excellent backbone and very good length. Drinking well now but will last for another 10 years at least.
Half bottle. Lovely rich golden colour; rich nose of honey, apricot, spices, flowers, fresh acidity, hint of coffee; on the palate medium-sweet, lively, refreshing, rich bitters, elegant but good weight, floral flavours; very good length, drinking beautifully.
