Yes this is one of my favorite Bordeaux in this excellent vintage. Very complex, elegant, pure AND well lineated nose. With thick-young-dark-ripe multi layered fruits, berries, cassis, olives and some lemon zest. Beautiful elegant, super balanced long-distance runner with long supple finish.
This is what you expect from classic Pomerol. Complex nose with earth, iron, tobacco, iodine, medicine. On the palate cherries, earth and a 'thick' finish, all very attractive.
Hard to believe this is 35 years old. From excellent storage, opened 2 hours in advance. Autumn leaves, earth and chocolate dipped cherries in the nose. On the palate again earth tones, fruit and butter. Bitter chocolate and firm with long-lasting aftertaste.
