A very expressive Sauvignon Blanc with a depth of tropical fruit and melons and a core of mineral stoniness. The palette starts with the minerals and a savoury bite that flows through the fruit to the sweet floral finish. Very impressive.

My first ever look at a Picardy Chardonnay. I love the 2009 Pinot Noir so I was expecting great things, and that's what this delivers. There is a delicate smoky nose with soft peaches, bright minerals, honeysuckle and lime zest. The palette is chalky, silky and very textural with intense florals and a lemon leaf finish.

Unlike the 2009, this one is rearing to go with arms open wide. There is the dominant savoury that Picardy delivers so well with liqueur cherries and forest floor. The palette is bright with bold acidity and a big length with a delightful raspberry finish. While this is great already, I'm sure it will improve with a few more years and will make great drinking while you wait for the 2009 to enter it's full stride.

Cocoa and coffee bean dominate the nose with an earthy edge and lovely toasty oak. The palette is rich berry and black currants with a balancing spiciness some delicate, savoury oak and a ripe mulberry and anise finish.

Ripe is the main word here with raspberry, earthy underbrush - just like a wet hedge in winter - and classic Bordeaux style characteristics, but with a classic new-world approach. The palette is full of soft tannins that are still very structural and provide a great framework for the perfect acidity.
