Burgundy Wine Co. Domaine Bonneau du Martray Tasting

This was a beautifully intimate vertical tasting of five vintages of Jean-Charles Le Bault de la Moriniere's Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru. The vintages tasted were the 2001, the 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Jean-Charles explained that the vineyard is divided into 18 parcels, Two for Pinot Noir and 16 for Chardonnay. All parcels are harvested separately, by hand and vinified separately. All 16 are used and blended in the same proportion for each vintage unless falling below the desired quality.
