Lovely rich lemon aromatics. Good intensity and feel, bright citrus, fine acidity for the year. Earth filled finish. Easily the class of the 3 wines from Vaillons.

Light ruby. Fragrant but ripe. Much bigger than the Jadot, chocolatey and oaky. Still has briary elements, but these take a back seat to the fruit and are subdued by the cooperage.

Medium color saturation. Light, elegant, smoky and long with excellent supporting acidity. I also liked the Jadot but thought that this was the finest and most precise of the 3 Savigny Laviereres.
Mature looking. Mature smelling too-game, forest and smoke. Pure black fruit, excellent acidity, middle weight, some sap. Not profound but pretty sexy, sinuous village wine. This outdistanced my expectations.

Deeper yellow than the other young wines. Bitter citrus fruit. Long and rich, but quite austere finish. Good with some potential improvement.

Medium yellow. Clearly riper than anything that preceded it. Orange fruit, some wood. Despite sweeter entry, good grip at the end.
