Some initial concern with dark color. Reasonably fresh on palate with lemon and orange peel aromas along with some woodsy character. Good acidity and minerality take over (too much so?) on finish.

Mostly earthy aromas with some black fruit. Mature black fruit on palate with a very advanced character showing more earth than anything else. Drink up.
Forest floor aromas with licorice and dried thyme. Charming lingering red fruit stands just behind earthy flavors on palate. Long, well textured. Long and incredibly charming.

Black fruit aromas with great spice from new oak and fruit. Powerful and balanced black fruit again on palate, long and very harmonious. This has previously shown surprisingly well for a young Bonnes Mares, just like tonight.

Bright red fruit aromas with great spice. Slightly firm red cherry and black cherry on palate, lightening up toward long finish, which really highlights baking spice.
