Introduction
A very nice and didactic tasting conducted by Ernst Loosen, owner od Dr. Loosen winery. We tasted his wines, accompanied by a presentation of the wines and the german labeling.
2009 Dr. Loosen Bernkasteler Lay Riesling Kabinett 88 Points
Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
Light straw color. On the nose you first get minerals with some hints of fruit (mostly citrus) on the background. Half dry, middle bodied. Enjoyable.

1981 Dr. Loosen Erdener Prälat Riesling Spätlese 80 Points

I didn’t like this wine. Bright gold nice color. If I have to define what I got, it was mostly mushrooms, both on the nose and the palate. Full bodied, low acidity. I don’t think it aged well.

Light straw color. Very expressive on the nose – minerals, nuts and toasting. On the palate – nice acidity and sweetness. Good body. Good!

Bright golden color. Complex and interesting, with hints of petroleum and minerals. High acidity that compensate a nice sweetness. Light bodied.

Light bright yellow. Exquisite on the nose – a mix of minerals and predominant tropic fruits. Medium bodied. I thought it lacked some acidity.

Exquisite and expressive. On the nose - an excellent mix of minerals and honey. Honey and walnuts also on the palate, in very good harmony with the nose. Full bodied. Very good! The best between the "oldies" of the tasting.

According to Ernest Loosen- this one is 100% botrytis.The best of the tasting. Explosion of fruits on the nose, Excellent filling on the palate, very sweat with a perfect balanced acidity.
