Tasting. Unusual/confusing combination of very "new world" seemingly generously oaked, and "old world" with plenty of bracing rustic tannins. This has a lot of character, but I'd give it another 3 or 4 years to show its true underlying potential.
Tasting. Moderate aromatic start. Black cherry, violets, some fresh mushroom, hints of dark chocolate. Elegant start on palate, expands towards middle and finish. Very accessible now, but witht he substance and structure to also age nicely.
Tasting. Funky nose, needs some time to dissipate. Firm black fruit supported by firm tannins. Modest spice. Give this until at least 2007 before opening.
Tasting. Perhaps at an awkward phase right now. Moderate aromas and good fruit that seem hidden behind the wine's stern structure. Will this integrate or fade?
Tasting. Sweet fruit aromas with a perfumed hint. Moderate and sweet on palate with good flavors but modest density and concentration. Probably best young.
Tasting. Blackberry and blueberry, all very fresh and vibrant. Fruit and spice very prominent on nose, slightly obscured behind tannins on palate today. spice evolves on finish. Better 2006 forward.
