I think this one lacks the development of the Bourgogne Rouge and could use a little decanting or some more time in the bottle. The nose is dominated by minerality and supporting supple fruit of ripe plums. The palette has some big tannins at first that give way to a much softer dark cherry and flinty finish.

There is a great battle here between the soft fruit and the spicy herbs and minerals that is balanced and remains unresolved through to the spicy mineral palette. There is also a delicate floral aspect to this wine and the precision of the structure is present right to the finish.
