2010 Blain-Gagnard Puligny-Montrachet

Tasting. Fat orchard fruit on nose and palate. Good depth for its level, seemingly lower acid and best in next few years. Definitely good.

2010 Blain-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets

Tasting. Citrus aromas with slight floral background. Apple flavors to start on palate, finishes with lemon and lemon zest with lots of texture and energy. Very good for its level.

Tasting. Apple and pear aromas and flavors. Lean fruit on palate with good acidity and minerality. Very impressive for its level.

Tasting. Also lean styled, with lemon and lemon zest on nose and palate. Very well textured with bright acidity. Very good in an impressive lineup.

2010 Philippe Colin Chevalier-Montrachet
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
Tasting. Very impressive. Fragrant start with lots of ripe apple, oak spice aromas. Palate mostly displayed same ripe apple and pear with great spice. Despite some trace hints of more tropical fruit on finish, there is a great deal of balanced acidity and minerality here providing length, texture and energy in to its long, lacy finish. Worth seeking out.

Tasting. Orchard fruit with good concentration. Good structure that will take a few years to integrate, giving a slightly bitter hint on finish today.

Tasting. Big styled wine that is well structured but still well balanced. Fat fruit start followed by lemon and lime from middle to finish. Drinking nicely now.

Tasting. Floral start with slightly ripe apple aromas, modest spice. Similar on palate. Also very good, just one small notch below Lamy's Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard also just tasted.

Tasting. Also slightly floral with fat fruit and good structure, moderate structure and finesse. For me this was slightly less interesting than Lamy's Saint-Aubin cuvees from Derrière Chez Edouard and Clos de la Chateniere also just tasted.

Tasting. Lush apple aromas with good spice. Leaner, more precise and both powerful and linear on palate , showcasing apple and lemon. Very good. Also tasted its 2009 counterpart, but I slightly preferred the 2010 vintage.
