I like the nose on this, earthy with a splash of violets. The palate is medium bodied and pleasant without hitting any high notes.

Red cherries, very high toned nose with floral notes and some spice. There is a restrained richness to the palate which is long and delicious. Obviously youthful but already a very good wine with structural potential to get even better.

Dusty/earthy with very light cherry fruit aromas remaining. There isn't a whole lot of body, fruit or texture to the palate. Drinkable and not past it, just not very interesting.

Lifted nose with perfumed cherry and fresh floral notes. Very good on the palate, bright and balanced. Really tasty now but should improve in the medium term.

Pepper, raspberry and strawberry on the nose with a touch of graphite. Palate is medium bodied without any particular elegance or power. Tannins sticking out a bit as well.

This is drinking superbly well right now. Truffles, earth and a smidgen of smoke on the nose. Palate is balanced and very savoury, with textural interest and a good length.

I wanted to like this but it was a serious disappointment. Roasted green beans and a grassy/herbaceous element in the background. The palate is poor, with no generosity of flavour and no real depth.

Earth, stalks and cherry notes on the nose. Palate has beautiful purity of fruit, with a very long and balanced finish. Lovely wine that is set for a wonderful future.

From a half bottle. Beautifully expressive nose of cherry, rose petals and strawberry. An interesting contrast to the dense, brooding 2008 Musigny. Palate is bright and long, with depth and complexity. A genuinely brilliant wine.

Dense and brooding nose, black cherry and meaty elements. An interesting contrast to the expressive and bright 2007 Musigny. Great power, structure and intensity on the palate. Incredible potential, I just barely prefer the 2007 now, but I hope to get to try them both again in 10-15 years!

Pineapple, light quince and mango on the nose. Medium bodied palate, medium level of sweetness. Simple right now but should develop nicely over 7-10 years.

Musk and lime on the nose. Palate is sweet and soft. Bland and simple.
