Quincy pronounced "kahn-see" apparently. Interesting note of tobacco, like Loire CF often has. White peach and green apple as well. Clean, fresh, mineral-driven style. Aside: the vigneron of this estate is evidently very eccentric. Very shy, maybe a bit of a hoarder, but very quality oriented and harvests later with lower yields.
Simple, herbal cherry, fruit forward, mid-weight, mild tannin. Good, but seems along the lines of a basic CdR (or Beaujolais) in style. Bit pricey for what it is IMO. Made with ambient yeasts, elevage in neutral 500 L hogsheads.
Italy, Piedmont, Northern Piedmont, Coste della Sesia
Funky, typical Brett aromas: clove and horse sweat. Cherry, herb, spicy, very nice acidity, moderate firm tannin. Rustic, but finish is good--not over the top in funk.
Liked it better than expected: it largely avoids the stewey, pruney side of Zin. A hint of raisin, but mostly dark brambly fruits. Chewy tannins, full body, with sufficient supporting acidity. Big wine, but well-made.
2011 Tenuta Sant'Antonio Scaia Garganega Chardonnay
Italy, Trevenezie
Garganega/Chardonnay blend. Tropical, passion-fruit nose, med/full body, a bit awkward on finish, lots of fruit with minerality as well.

2010 Domaine Maestracci Vin de Corse Calvi Clos Reginu
France, Corsica, Vin de Corse Calvi
Nielucciu evidently is Sangiovese. Tight nose, tastes like earthy, acid-driven Sangio. Light earthy finish. Not exciting, but fair for the price.
