Introduction

Dan was in town on business. He told me he was bringing the Bedrock Zin, so I looked at my limited supply of Bedrock in CT and found his note on this white that he wished he had more. So I brought that. Enjoyed both very much.

    USA, California, Napa / Sonoma, Carneros

    [Brought to dinner at Provence with Dan H.] Incredibly flavorful white wine. Powerful nose of crisp apples, minerals, and citrus. Medium body. Medium long finish. A very tasty and refreshing wine that works well with my foie gras.

    [Brought by Dan H to Provence.] Stunning nose of ripe spicy plums and dark cherries. Wow, smooth as silk in the mouth with loads of sweet blackberry fruit and mild tannins on the long finish. Could their be a little syrah in this? As the evening wore on, it seemed to me to get more tannic. I wonder if it might shut down for a few years? If I had 6 bottles, I put a few down for 10 years. Sadly, I have none. :(
