    Helder lichtgeel, iets groene tint. Stuivend in de neus met citrusfruit, kruisbes, gras en napoleon-snoepjes. Fris zuur. Bittertje in de vrij lang aanhoudende afdronk.

    Helder lichtgeel. In de neus ananas, citrus, boter, eikenhout. In de smaak grapefruit. Overheersend bittertje en onaangenaam zuur. Mediumlang tot lange afdronk.

    Helder witgeel. In de neus boter, vanille, perzik en abrikoos. In de smaak vooral citrusfruit, een stuk frisser dan de neus doet vermoeden. Mediumlange afdronk met frisse aanhoudende zuren en een amandelbittertje.

    Strogeel. In de neus rijp fruit, ananas, caramel, boterbabbelaars, eikenhout. Al vrij ontwikkeld. In de smaak in eerste instantie een wat zoete aanzat, gevolgd door stevige zuren, perzik en citroen. Romig, zacht mondgevoel, mediumlang tot lange afdronk.

  • 2010 Ataraxia Chardonnay Cape Winemakers Guild 91 Points

    Licht tot strogeel. Vrij gesloten in de neus, na enige tijd wit fruit en bloemen. De smaak komt ook moeilijk tot uiting, maar na een tijdje luchten ananas, honing en vanille. Erg zachte en lange afdronk. Nu in een moeilijke fase, maar een belofte voor de toekomst. 91+ punten.

    Stro- tot goudgeel. In de oxidatieve neus abrikoos, wasbenzine, rijp geel fruit en rozijntjes. In de smaak honing, gember en abrikoos, wat dun middenpalet. Zacht en filmend.

    Strogeel. Abrikoos, boenwas, citrusfruit en mineralen in geur en smaak. Vol, romig en filmend. Lange afdronk. Nu 90 punten, over 2 jaar waarschijnlijk nog 1 of 2 punten meer.

    Donker robijnrood, nog geen sprake van verkleuring aan de rand. In de neus wat stoffig, belegen, wat stalgeur. Zwart fruit en eikenhout in de stevige smaak. Flinke, drogende tannines in de mediumlange afdronk. Op z'n retour.

    Ruby, purple in color. Vegetal in the nose, with blackberries and some vanilla and cedar. Black and red currant, cedar, spices and minerals on the palate. Soft tannins, mediumlong smooth aftertaste. Certainly no blockbuster, this wine is all about elegance.
