Roederer Rocks at $16 a bottle. All wines showed well and it beats having to cook so I bring the wine.

  Solid stuff with red currants, spice, minerals and earth. Medium finish and very enjoyable now.

• 2004 Bodegas Alto Moncayo Garnacha Campo de Borja 93 Points

  Really showing well now. Garrique, raspberry, boysenberry and red licorice. Very tasty and showed better later in the night. Should age for another five years.

  This is the best sparkling wine under $20 on the market. Green apple, minerals, chalk and pear. Acidic but a balanced effort. Very refreshing and went well with pork. Buy a case!

• 2006 Jeff Runquist Barbera "R" Cooper Vineyard 88 Points

  Not complex but fun. Cherry, blueberries, smoke and floral notes. A bit sweet on the palate but still enough structure for the more serious wine drinker. A real crowd pleaser.

  $8.99 baby! Best wine year in and year out for $10. Semi sweet effort with apple, mineral, pinneapple and peach. Short to medium finish.

  Nice wine with blueberries, cherry, rose petals, chalk and mushrooms. Complex but elegant. Medium finish and drinking well now.
