• 2002 Dom Pérignon Champagne 91 Points

  France, Champagne

  From magnum. Floral bouqut. Apricots, passion fruit, some mango, yet very crisp despite the tropical fruit. Nicely balanced.

• 1996 Dom Pérignon Champagne Oenothèque 94 Points

  France, Champagne

  Initially light but gained rapidly in the glass. Aromas of lemon, flowers, curd. On the balance snappy at first but really blossomed with tropical fruit and nicely balanced acidity. Great.

  Light yellow, nose of straw, lemon. On the palate salty, drying, sherry.

  Dark gold. Oxidized nose and not much better on the palate with sherry, manzanilla notes. Possibly an off bottle.

  Nose of peach, buttered brioche. On the palate full, minerals, honey, peach. Endless finish. Fantastic.

  Nose of spices, apple. On the palate very refined interplay of lemon, minerals and a buttery touch. Very good and still going strong.

  Sweet nose with honey and lemon curd. Minerals, orange peel, lemon on the creamy palate. Very nice.

  Youthful colour. Deep bouquet of cedar, cassis, hrbs. On the palate a nice melange of eukalyptus, candied fruits, silky tannins. This bottle was extremely young and almost forbidding until it opened up.
