France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin
I'd never heard of this site. Medium red. Nose has mostly a curiously ripe, candied red berry quality. Lighter on the palate, certainly not overripe, in fact a bit hollow with a dash of soil at the end. I never seem to have much luck with Maume, but at least this bottle was clean.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru
Medium ruby. Nuits aromatics of scorched earth and mixed fruit. Surprisingly sappy and excellent volume compared to most wines from this lighter vintage. Good savory complexity as well. Excellent and already in the early part of its drinking window.
2010 Francine et Olivier Savary Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume
France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru
Light yellow. This is all about salinity on both the nose and palate. Some supporting texture. Good mouthful that could only be Chablis.

2010 Domaine Antoine Jobard Meursault En La Barre
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
Wood and hazelnut scents. A bit of citrus but overly woody, mid-weight, average acidity. Not impressive.

2010 Domaine Comtesse de Chérisey Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chalumeaux
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Light yellow. Floral aromas. Steely Puligny flavors with excellent acidity. Medium body, good density. Very fine and detailed wine.
