Dark, saturated. Graphite aromatics. Medium weight, whole berry/cherry fruit, tautly tannic finish. Deeply flavored, serious Dolcetto, not for early or easy drinking.
Quite dark. Perfumed and spicy. Dry, minty, herbal palate. Grainy feel, black fruit, high acidity, tannic finish. Not at all charming or forward but good length.
Cherry red with lighter rim. Light and earthy with some inner mouth florality. Dry and savory with a touch of volatile acidity. Substantial tannin for a wine of this weight. Lacks some degree of fruit but not bad for a generic Nebbiolo.
Medium center, tawny edge. Piercing perfume. Elegant, lighter weight with complex melange of flowers, faded strawberries, smokiness and soil. Subtle ripeness without sweetness. Long, gently receding finish. A beauty of a wine that is the essence of Nebbiolo for mid-term drinking.
