Really pungent nose of grapefruit, lemon and lime. Mostly grapefruit on the palate and slightly sour. Concentrated and unfolds fairly gracefully. Drier than the NZ norm. Good.
Not much on the nose aside from a slight whiff of acetone. Plenty of fresh, citrus fruit on the palate though and some grassy complexity. Crisp, mouthwatering and, again, not as sweet as the NZ norm. Still tastes so young!
Nose is a little musty and vegetal; very few clues that this is Sauvignon Blanc. Full-bodied. Rich almost oily mouthfeel. Tastes a little like tinned fruit. At an awkward stage just now? Not that enjoyable.
Much cleaner nose than the 2010. Lovely creamy texture and the fruit is a lot purer than the 2010. After a little time in glass some lychee aromas develop and the palate also takes on a more tropical tinge. A really interesting and distinctive wine.
No oak detectable on the nose. Quite round. Green apple with a streak of lime through the mid-palate. Nice combination of crunchy fruit flavours and creamy texture. Quite Burgundian. And my wine of the night.
Sweet, oaky and alcoholic nose. There's also a really powerful - syrah-like - peppery note in there. Palate is juicy and quite light-bodied. Not much structure. Dark cherry. Very good fruit. Less sweet than the 2009.
Nose is more restrained than the 2010 - red fruit predominantly. There's also a little more structure and definition. Elegant and silky but the finish is a little too sweet.
