This party introduced Gossecross's new Lake County Chenin Blanc and the release of their latest Amerital (75% sangiovese/25% cabernet sauvignon) blend. Nancy and I also tasted their excellent Yountville Zinfandel, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (with chocolate kisses) and Napa Valley Merlot. The Chenin Blanc was an interesting surprise. This wine is made for those that like a little sweetness, but feels very dry. It is an ideal alternative to reislings. Thje Amerital was also very good, but stills need some more time in the bottle.
One of the treats at Goosecross are chocolate bottles. They are an ideal evening project with your friends to celebrate the holidays.
