2002 Domaine Huet Vouvray Brut Réserve 93 Points
France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
Great as always. Rich and sappy with beautiful acidity and toasty notes. Hard to put down.

2007 Gerard Thomas Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien Blanc 89 Points

Enjoyed this. Had good ripe fruit on the nose and palate with a nice blend of mineral cut and acidity to keep it fresh. There was also this nice flinty aspect to it that I enjoyed.

2010 Domaine Pavelot (Jean-Marc et Hugues) Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode 91 Points

Dark and seductive nose of spice, underbrush and red fruit. The palate was firm and red fruited with dense minerality, some herbs and sour cherry. Shows a lot of promise.

Has some cherry cola notes on the nose, brown sugar, red fruit and underbrush. Thought the palate was really nice. Warm, inviting...not overly complex or thought-provoking, but boy was this enjoyable. Really nice stuff.

2009 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Porrets St. Georges 89 Points

Thought this was very nice. Nice smokey oak, dark berries, crushed rocks and floral notes. The palate was plush and spicy with nice, dense fruit and some earthy undertones. One of the better wines of the night.

2009 Domaine Pavelot (Jean-Marc et Hugues) Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Serpentières 90 Points

Aromas were spicy and dark with some nice florals too. Palate was denser than the 2010 Pavelot and had more ripe cherry. There was also some earthy, forestal tones that I really enjoyed.

2009 Domaine Michel & Joanna Ecard Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Peuillets 86 Points

A nice blend of earth and red fruit with nice levels of minerality and forestal tones. Palate was straightforward and juicy with some spice and brown sugar notes.

2009 Thomas Pinot Noir Dundee Hills

Very spicy nose with lithe dark fruit, floral notes and lots of crushed rocks. The palate was a bit strange to me as it modulated from a bit spritzy and harsh to seductive and dark. Probably opened this far too early, so I'll wait on my other bottles.

Gorgeous. Wonderfully complex, with layers of florals, red fruits, mushroom tones and roasted veggies. The palate had juicy, dense fruit with a great balance of minerals, acidity and spices. Loved it.
